8.9/10 stinky bananas

I cried.

Pixar got me again. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Pixar don’t miss. They are the kings of the animation game.

The animation itself looked incredible. I don’t know how they get this shit to look so real. Wild stuff.

I enjoyed the portrayal of small town Italy. It feels like they captured it pretty damn good.

The movie had lots of Pixar’s patented charm and they continue to excel at tugging on the heartstrings.

Now for some nitpicking. 1. They did the fake swear word thing too much. It felt like they did it 15 times. 2. Jim Gaffigan voicing an Italian dad was a tad bit distracting. Jacob Tremblay as Luca was passable but I have to put my foot down with Gaffigan. It was a miscast. Plain and simple.

Extremely enjoyable. Definitely worth the price of admission. Go watch it.
